Retirement living in Gippsland means retiring in the great outdoors, in one of Victoria's largest regional areas.

Gippsland is home to more than 240,000 people across the region and begins at the edge of Melbourne and stretches to the New South Wales border.

The area is known for its natural beauty including beaches, lakes, forests and snowy mountains. Due to the region being so large, there is a diverse natural landscape so there is something for everyone.

The major areas within the region include East Gippsland, West Gippsland, South Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley which are all unique in their landscapes.

The climate is as varied as the landscape, although is generally humid across the entire region particularly in summer. Some parts of the area can be prone to flooding due to the large amount of rainfall every year.
