Retirement living in Perth Eastern Suburbs (Western Australia)

Retirement living in Perth’s Eastern suburbs provide a relaxed, community lifestyle for retirees.

The east is home to some of Perth’s most popular suburbs, such as Mount Helena and the growing Midland.

East Perth provides a relaxed, easy-going lifestyle away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close to necessary amenities and services.

A lot of the major suburbs have shopping strips and centres making it an easy place to live for residents.  There are a good choice of retail shops and major supermarkets throughout the area. The population is almost 6,000 with a median resident age of 36. The area is more affordable than other areas of Perth, the outer eastern suburbs offer particular affordable housing options.

There are many restaurant and food options with plenty of bars along major streets in the inner-east suburbs which are less than 20 minutes to the city centre.

Mundaring is particularly popular with the elderly, festivals and over 50s nights are regularly hosted by the ‘Hub of the Hills.’
