RSL Care Baycrest Celebrates Pink Week to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer

The team at RSL Care Baycrest in Hervey Bay have dressed up in pink, held raffles, concerts, sausage sizzles and morning teas to raise funds for the Hervey Bay branch of the Breast Cancer Network Australia.

The fundraising events were led by Administration Officer Trish McMillan who is very passionate about this cause and raising funds for her community.

“Breast Cancer has touched us all directly and indirectly in some form or another. We have here five team members here at Baycrest who have had and are still undergoing treatment for this illness,” she said.

“It only seemed right to do fundraising for the Breast Cancer Network Australia. We only have one Nurse in Hervey Bay to assist the community in need of support.”

The fundraising efforts were supported by the staff from Baycrest and the residents from the retirement village.
