Uniting Bowden Brae Normanhurst: Full-steam ahead for makeover

Building works will commence this month for the redevelopment and expansion of Uniting independent living units in Normanhurst.

The project will see 137 new independent living units built at Uniting Bowden Brae Normanhurst, along with communal indoor and outdoor spaces for residents and their families to enjoy. A wellness centre, a café, a hair and beauty salon, and a swimming pool, are also planned.

The existing 106 bed residential aged care facility will remain as is.

Helen Wood, Director of Independent Living at Uniting says, “Uniting Bowden Brae Normanhurst has long been part of the community. This redevelopment will allow Uniting to offer contemporary facilities and continue to serve residents of Hornsby and the Upper North Shore well into the future.”

The redevelopment works will progress in three stages. We are delighted that Cockram Constructions has been appointed as the builders for Stage 1.

Uniting is grateful for the approvals from Hornsby Shire Council to expand our services in this way.
