IRT Woodlands celebrates the Completion of Stage 2 of Development

IRT Woodlands will throw open their doors this Thursday, in celebration of the completion of Stage Two of development.

Around 100 guests are expected to visit the Seniors' Lifestyle and Care Community to enjoy morning tea, hear from local guest speakers about the retirement living experience and discover all that IRT Woodlands has to offer.

Located at Meridan Plains and opened in September last year, IRT Woodlands’ first 20 villas have sold out. Stage Two, consisting of 18 more villas is now complete and six have already been sold.

“We’re excited to have two guest speakers joining us at the Open Day - Vicki Newton from Design 4 Living will be sharing her expertise on downsizing your property for a carefree retirement. IRT’s own Melissa Naylor, Manager of IRT at Home in Queensland will then talk through the range of government-funded services available to residents, should they need extra assistance to help them stay in their own homes for longer,” Regional Sales Manager for IRT Group, Glenn Gardiner said.

“We love welcoming new residents. It’s really the people that bring this community to life.

“We’re proud to have created opportunities for residents to come together... to unwind by the pool... catch up over a coffee or barbeque... host a social gathering in the Community Hall... stretch their legs on the putting green, in the gym or walking their dog... learn a new skill through the University of the Third Age... or simply watch a movie in the cinema room,” Mr Gardiner said.

IRT Woodlands is unique to IRT's portfolio of three Seniors’ Lifestyle Communities on the Sunshine Coast because it enables residents to age in place in a 60-suite Care Centre.

"Co-locating Lifestyle villas and a residential Care Centre is an approach that works very well in other IRT Communities in NSW and the ACT," Mr Gardiner said.

“It also brings the Community together, and all the residents here really are helping to make IRT Woodlands our most vibrant Community.”

Once complete, IRT Woodlands will offer 107 Lifestyle villas co-located with the Care Centre and shared community facilities, including a Community Centre, swimming pool, putting green, gym and theatre room.
