Developer and operator of integrated care villages, Greengate has grown its Board and executive team. This move supports the decision to enable the Group to deliver quality care whilst capitalising on future opportunities in a deregulating sector.
The Board now Chaired by Peter Hodgson (previously a non-executive director) also welcomes Mr John Russell CEO of Myer Family Investments which is a major shareholder in privately owned Greengate.
Mr Hodgson commented, “I was delighted to accept the role as the new Chair of the Group. After working in a non-executive capacity with Greengate over the past six years, I’m pleased to be in the position to steer the company through this exciting period of growth and opportunity.”
Greengate is also delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Rigby as the Group’s new CEO who will support Greengate’s expansion during 2017 as they complete two new villages: St Patrick’s Green in Sydney; and St Luke’s Green in Brisbane. These Villages come on the back of the success of St Brigid’s Green in Maroubra which was the recipient of the innovation award for Best New Retirement Living Village by the Property Council of Australia in 2016.
During 2017, Greengate will launch new projects at Auchenflower (QLD) and Penrith (NSW).
Mr Hodgson added that, “The Greengate team’s expert design and delivery skills will be enhanced by the wealth of knowledge that Chris Rigby will bring from his previous roles; most recently leading Scalabrini Villages, and previously as the Managing Director of Catholic Healthcare.”
Chris Rigby commented that, “I’m excited to join the Greengate team at this point of their growth. Completion of current villages will see over 750 apartments and aged care beds under management by 2020. My experience in the aged care industry, coupled with Greengate’s proven track record of site acquisition design and delivery, will drive the future growth of the company.”
