RSL Care Baycrest Community Farewells Local Manager

The residents and staff of RSL Care Baycrest Retirement Village held a party to farewell Village Manager, Julie Poole. 

Julie has been an integral part of the Hervey Bay community for the past seven years where she has managed RSL Care’s largest Retirement Village home to a close-knit community of 241 residents across 192 Independent Living Units.

Julie is so respected by her residents this year they nominated her for the National Retirement Village Manager of the Year Award.

“The residents and local community welcomed me in to Hervey Bay and the village is such a wonderful place to live and work,” Julie said.

President of the Resident Social Club, June Christie, presented Julie with a card signed from all the residents and a parting gift.

“Julie has been a wonderful manager here. Nothing is too much trouble and we can always rely on her for anything we need.  Her door is always open,” June said.

As the residents farewelled Julie they were treated to a wonderful lunch, raffles, lucky door prizes and games.

Two couples also marked very special milestones on the day with David and Viv Cornish celebrating their 40^th Wedding Anniversary while Ian and June Campbell celebrated their 60^th Wedding Anniversary.
