Regency Park Retirement Village has recently changed ownership with leading Queensland-based seniors living provider Churches of Christ Care now managing the Warwick property.
Churches of Christ Care, not-for-profit operator of 19 retirement villages throughout Queensland and Victoria, has purchased the village from long-term owners Marcus Barlow and Edward Barber.
Director of Seniors and Supported Living Bryan Mason welcomed Regency Park residents and staff.
“We look forward to continuing and enhancing the lifestyle and services provided within this quality retirement community,” Mr Mason said.
“Regency Park is a premier facility that we are proud to be associated with and furthers our commitment to the Southern Downs region.”
Mr Mason said that this acquisition compliments care already provided to Southern Downs locals through its Warwick-based Community Care services. These services include personal care, domestic assistance and nursing care, in addition to home maintenance and modification.
Churches of Christ Care operates Stanthorpe’s 38 bed Villa Carramar and 64 bed Carramar Hostel Aged Care Services.
Also in the region the organisation manages 35 National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) properties. NRAS is an Australian Government initiative supported by the Queensland Government and provides affordable, long-term rental accommodation for low to middle income earners.
Adding Regency Park’s 91 independent living units, and existing plans for more seniors living at the Regency Boulevard location, creates a strengthened local service offering.
“Churches of Christ Care is committed to building a long term future of care for the region,” Mr Mason said.
“With aged care development opportunities available onsite and our 85 years of care experience, we are well placed to serve Warwick and the Southern Downs region.”
Construction on eight additional units is ready to commence at Regency Park while the organisation is considering plans for residential aged care at the Warwick site, consistent with its integrated communities model of seniors living.
“Our intent is to bring uplift and promote positive well being, to individuals and communities,” Mr Mason said.
