In recent months, builders have made significant progress in the construction of St Luke’s Green -a retirement village located in the beautiful suburb of Buranda in Queensland.
A delightful winter and a warm start to summer in Brisbane has allowed construction to move at full steam with the basement section of the village almost complete.
In mid-November, the first suspended pour was completed, which establishes ground level at the back of the Church where the beautiful village green will be.
Construction is now finished on the huge basement slabs and builders have begun to put up columns, shafts and more ground floor suspended slabs – it’s really beginning to take shape!
In October, St Luke’s Green was the proud sponsor of the launch of Rachel Lane and Noel Whittaker’s The Retirement Living Handbook at East Leagues Club.
Rachel and Noel spoke about the financial considerations of ageing and the various types of retirement communities.
A morning tea was attended by over 75 interested seniors - many of whom are now considering making St Luke's Green their home.
