The 33rd Annual Victorian Seniors Festival

The Victorian Seniors Festival runs from the 1st to the 31st of October and this year they are celebrating communities.

There are a wide range of social, cultural, educational and healthy living activities on offer to you this year. View the Festival Event Calendar here.

The Festival Hub at Melbourne Town Hall is offering five free lunchtime concert series between Monday the 5th and Friday the 9th of October. The Hub also features a free health check at the RDNS Healthy Pit Stop. There are also some great photographic exhibitions on display.

The ACMI Seniors Film Festival is running until Friday October 9th at ACMI Cinemas at Federation Square, showcasing a range of recently released and classic films.

The Victorian Seniors Festival will come alive at Docklands on October 10th and 11th.

The Discover Docklands event program includes a range of free activities for seniors including:

  • Free Victoria Harbour ferry cruises aboard the MV Grower and MV Cruzy cruises
  • Free guided tours of the Alma Doepel tallship
  • Free live entertainment at the waterfront headlined by Callum Glees and Nichaud Fitzgibbon
  • Free activities at Library on the Dock
  • Free rides at Wonderland Fun Park for grandparents
  • Morning tea at Harbour Town Shopping Centre on Saturday October 10th
  •  Free entry to O’Brien Group Arena (formerly called Medibank Icehouse) to watch figure skating and ice hockey on Sunday October 11th from 10:30am
  • Free guided tours of the Mission to Seafarers
  • Free orienteering sessions with Life Activities Club Victoria
