Volunteer at ARV

Studies have shown that people who volunteer generally live happier and longer lives. The contribution volunteers make creates a positive outcome and contributes to a vibrant and caring community.

At ARV, volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the lives of their aged care residents.

ARV has a diverse group of volunteers ranging from individuals in the local area, ARV residents, local school groups, family members, corporate groups and other local organisations.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at ARV, you can:

  • Assist with one-on-one visits
  • Go on group outings
  • Help out with music, indoor bowls, driving buses and helping in the garden
  • Help low-vision residents with reading and writing letters
  • Assist with leisure activities
  • Help out the computer club, listening library or kiosk

Training is provided for all volunteers and you will be supported in your role by the Volunteer Coordinators. If you would like to become a part of ARV’s Volunteering Team, give them a call on (02) 9421 5446 or enquire online
