Woodward Retirement Village Resident and Freemason Norman Wright-Brown ‘Brownie’, recently donated funds for a new golf buggy for Masonic Care Queensland in Cairns which will be used to deliver meals to residents of his retirement village.
The buggy has been purpose built for the transportation of food and to accommodate various weather conditions.
Brownie, an active member of the village, has also donated funds to help build additional facilities as part of development works being undertaken at adjoining Morinda Aged Care.
He was also a major donor to the 2014 Hand Heart Pocket Christmas Appeal which raised funds for sensory equipment at Morinda Aged Care.
“He is a very kind generous person who has a very big heart and likes to look after his ‘family’”, said Retirement Living and Community Care Coordinator Kathy Sinclair.
