Joining an Adventist Senior Living village  is easy. Simply,

  1. Book an appointment to view a villa
  2. Pay a deposit to secure a villa
  3. Complete and sign a contract.

The contract allows for a 90-day cooling off period and a guaranteed refund if you do not wish to proceed.

Adventist Senior Living at Avondale is located across two neighboring sites, both bordering Dora Creek and separated by Freemans Drive.

Alton Villas is situated on the western side of Freemans Drive and is home to 104 two & three bedroom villas, communal village gardens, croquet & golf course and Alton Lodge Aged Care Facility.

Kressville Villas is on the eastern side of Freemans Drive and is home to the Adventist Senior Living corporate office, 128 one, two & three bedroom villas, the village maintenance shed, village café and Avondale House Aged Care Facility. Both sides of the village can be accessed by walking tracks that take residents safely under Freemans Drive.

How to Access

Together we can help you decide on the care that best suits your needs. You may either opt to apply for Fee for Service, allowing full flexibility on the type of care you want when you want it, or apply for a government subsidised Home Care Package.

Fee For Service

If you do not wish to have an ACAT assessment Adventist Senior Living Home Care can provide tailored services at an agreed cost.

Home Care Package

You will need to be assessed by a member of an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) to receive help at home through a Home Care Package. You may choose to do this yourself online by visiting the My Aged Care Website, or have our Home Care staff assist you in this application.

ACAT help you and your carers determine the kind of care that best meets your needs. A member of the team, which may include a doctor, nurse, social worker and/or other health professional, will meet with you to assess your needs and how well you are managing at home. They will identify the right services for you and the level of care you require. You will receive a letter from ACAT stating the types of subsidised services for which you have approval.

When it becomes difficult to continue living at home, residential aged care services provide you with continuous care.

Family members, carers or friends are always welcome in our home. Whether you come to our carer support group, or buy a meal cooked onsite to eat with your loved one, we recognise and value your ongoing involvement in the life of your loved one.

All residents enjoy access to a full range of services. A team of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, physiotherapists, recreational activity staff, diversional therapist, catering and personal care staff all work closely with residents and their families to develop comprehensive and ongoing care plans.

Additional services fee

At Alton Lodge and Avondale House, we charge an additional services fee. These cost is for  hotel services not normally provided. Adventist Senior Living at Avondale is owned and managed by Seventh-day Adventist Aged Care (NNSW) Ltd trading as Adventist Senior Living.  We have been in the aged care industry since 1960.

The local shopping complex is located just opposite the Avondale site.  It houses a small grocery store including fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as a pharmacy.  Alternatively, Morisset is less than 10 minutes drive where there is a Woolworths, Coles, pharmacies, cafes, banks, specialty shops and numerous restaurant options.

The closest hospital is Wyong Public Hospital which is a 35 minute drive.  Alternatively, Sydney Adventist Hospital is 1 hour away to the South and John Hunter Public Hospital is approximately a 40 minute drive away.

Adventist Senior Living at Avondale is an independent living facility with the benefit and peace of mind of an on-site aged-care facility.  Subject to availability and an aged care assessment, residents with increased nursing needs do have access to our residential aged-care facility.
