BaptistCare Angus Bristow Now Home For Cowboy

The former Chaplain of the Cowboys and card-carrying Queensland supporter, Phil Macquire, will enjoy watching his team play for glory from the comfort of his new village home at BaptistCare Angus Bristow. 

Although born and bred in NSW, Phil Macquire was the Chaplain for the North Queensland Cowboys between 1998 and 2001, having moved to Queensland in 1970. Twelve years ago, Phil and his wife Lyn made the move back to NSW, choosing the Macarthur District to settle in.

“Lyn and I moved back to be close to our family and grandchildren, and to help my daughter,” says Phil.

“We moved straight into Angus Bristow Village. It’s ideally situated, and it’s a good village, not too big and not too small,” he says.

Phil and his wife enjoy the country and rural atmosphere found in neighbouring towns such as Camden and Picton, coupled with the shopping centre and local amenities they have easy access to.  

“Lyn attends a village crafts and chat group during the week which she enjoys, and also has a day with the Social Club onsite.”

“BaptistCare have really got the expertise; good staff and great management. We’re very happy here,” says Phil.
