An estimated 20 percent of Australian adults experience chronic pain, with more women than men suffering from this condition. Juniper is holding a free seminar on how to manage chronic pain, looking at why we experience pain, various types of pain and managing it without medication.
“It is possible to effectively manage 70-80 per cent of chronic pain, however only 10 per cent of those affected are receiving adequate treatment,” said Juniper’s Community Nurse, Janet Anderson.
“This is will be a beneficial seminar for those suffering from chronic pain or caring for someone who suffers from chronic pain.”
No registration is required for the approximate one-hour seminar and light refreshments will be served.
